About

Theresa ColeAt 35 years old (eek!), I am married to the man of my dreams and together, we have 5 teenage boys.  We live in the frigid state of Michigan, but are hoping to move somewhere warm after the kids graduate. :)

As a teenager, reading was my favorite way to pass time.  I could always be found in my bedroom with my nose in a book while the rest of the family was watching TV or hanging out.  For as long as I can remember, my favorite genres were anything that involved escaping to a magical, far from reality world.  Some of my favorite books as a child were The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster, and The Last of the Really Great Wangdoodles by Julie Andrews Edwards.

As I got older and reached my teenage years, fantastical realms and magical characters were still my favorite, but I needed more from the stories.  I discovered the Dragonlance series by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.  They quickly became my favorite and I devoured the entire series in a short amount of time.  Any book with elves, mages, and other fantasy creatures were a sure win with me.

The first vampire book that I ever read was Salem’s Lot by Stephen King.  It was also the first book that kept me up all night reading.  I just couldn’t put it down until I knew the vampire was dead. LOL  Vampires have been my favorite characters since.

Over the past few years, I have taken college courses on and off.  When I discovered book blogging in October 2010, my career goal became clear.  My love of books and reading has shown me that working in the publishing industry as an editor is exactly what I want to do with my life.  I am proud to say that I have been hired as an Associate Editor for Entangled Publishing and a Line Editor for MustItUp Publishing!

Thank you for taking the time to find out a little more about me! :)

Stalk me, I dare ya!
