Man of my dreams!

11-21-2011: Never to be forgotten! Today is the day that Ian Somerhalder responded to me on facebook! Hey, that may not be a big deal for you, but for me.. HUGE. *swoon*

Conversation copied from FB:
ME: Finally! After an hour of searching facebook, I find the REAL you. Hi Ian!

Ian Somerhalder: Thank you.Nice to meet you

ME: My pleasure! Thank you for taking the time to notice. :)

Ian Somerhalder: you're welcome

Ian Somerhalder: I try not to disappoint my fans!

ME: Well, you're doing a wonderful job. :) It's nice (and a bit scary) to talk to someone like you!

ME: lol... (I'm secretly freaking out cuz I got to talk to Ian! *sigh*)

Ian Somerhalder: Thank you Theresa!

ME: lol... you're welcome! Just do me a favor and don't knock when you invade my dreams tonight. The husband probably wouldn't like that. hehe!

Ian Somerhalder: well I will not:)

ME: Perfect! Thanks. LOL

It’s my blogoversary!!

Fade Into Fantasy's 2nd Blogoversary

It’s my 2nd blogoversary!

and I truly can’t believe it…

It honestly seems like my first post was just a couple of months ago. In reality, it was exactly two years ago that I posted my first book related post. Sure, I was blogging about miscellaneous things before that, but October 13, 2010 was when I decided I was going to join the book blogging community. Never in my life had I been accepted so openly and had people give so freely of themselves. Book bloggers are seriously the nicest, most sincere people I have ever had the pleasure of joining. My heart-felt thanks to ALL OF YOU. Without all of you, I wouldn’t be who I am today. YOU ROCK MY SOCKS!

Unfortunately, I’ve been too busy (and too broke) to offer up a giveaway for my celebration. Boo! :( But along the way, I’ve tried to help newer bloggers and authors the same way I have been helped over the years, even though it never seems to be enough. I don’t know if I could ever do something that shows how much gratitude I have for the book blogging community. It may not seem like a huge deal to some of you, but to this girl–the shy, quiet girl who always hid in the corner in high school–it’s a HUGE deal to be accepted and welcomed with open arms. Thanks to all of you, I have found my voice. I have found my calling. And I have found the courage to make my dreams come true. THANK YOU.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

Theresa

Now, a few stats (which I’m sure won’t be as impressive as other’s, but I’m still proud!):

  • 418 posts (including this one)
  • 2,142 comments (Thank you!)
  • Sunday Status posts are the most popular (I’m thrilled you all want to hear about my days!)
  • Sunday Status is also the most used search term :)
  • My first book review was for QUINTSPINNER by Diane Greenlay, which will forever hold a spot in my heart (yeah, I’m sappy like that. LOL)

Again, I want to say THANK YOU. Thank you for all of your help, for reading my ramblings, and for being the awesome peeps you are!
