Man of my dreams!

11-21-2011: Never to be forgotten! Today is the day that Ian Somerhalder responded to me on facebook! Hey, that may not be a big deal for you, but for me.. HUGE. *swoon*

Conversation copied from FB:
ME: Finally! After an hour of searching facebook, I find the REAL you. Hi Ian!

Ian Somerhalder: Thank you.Nice to meet you

ME: My pleasure! Thank you for taking the time to notice. :)

Ian Somerhalder: you're welcome

Ian Somerhalder: I try not to disappoint my fans!

ME: Well, you're doing a wonderful job. :) It's nice (and a bit scary) to talk to someone like you!

Ian Somerhalder: Thank you Theresa!

ME: lol... you're welcome! Just do me a favor and don't knock when you invade my dreams tonight. The husband probably wouldn't like that. hehe!

Sunday Status: Books, Work, & Life in General

Sunday Status

week of: Mar 12-Mar 18

What I’m Reading:

I ended up getting my hands on an ARC of The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa and as most of you probably already know (I was screaming my love of this book from the rooftops..LOL), I devoured the book in 4 days. It was the first book by Julie that I had read and I’m dying to get my hands on her Iron Fey series now.  My review will be posted closer to the release date, so look for that. Hint: I’m making a golden butterfly icon for books that surpass my 5/5 rating :)

Over the past week or so, I have seen multiple 5 star reviews for Grave Mercy by Robin LeFevers. I happen to have an ARC, so I started reading it last night. So far, it’s very interesting and after 8 chapters, I feel like it will probably be getting a good rating from me, too.  I’m sure it will be included in my Half Way Reviews post this coming week.

What I’m Working On:

I’m over half way done editing book #2 for Crescent Moon Press and submitted my editing test for that dream publisher Friday night. The waiting is killing me, but I have a good feeling. Getting that job would be the highlight of my career (even though it’s a fairly short career so far) and I am dying to find out what the head editor thought of my test. I’m sure you will all know as soon as I do since I have a hard time containing my excitement about things. LOL  Getting in on the ground floor for their new line would be fabulous and I’m really hoping to make myself a home with a publishing house that I feel will really go far in this industry.

I still haven’t written anything new on my WIP. I’m taking this time to prepare myself for the SavvyAuthors Boot Camp that starts on April 1st. Since I’ll be typing my fingers to the bone then, I want to be sure that I have all of my ducks in a row and can participate with minimal distractions.

A couple of fabulous new blogging ideas have presented themselves to me over the last week.  The first one is the Stretch Our Boundaries meme that I posted about the other day.  Yesterday, the idea for Mad Libs Monday hit me like a brick. I already have authors who are willing to participate. I’ll be posting the book information and asking readers to provide the fill in the blank ideas, just like the Mad Libs notebooks that we used to have as kids. (Anyone older than 20 will know what I’m talking about. LOL) The following week, I’ll post the book excerpt, using the funniest reader’s answers to fill in the blanks of the excerpt.  Sounds fun, right?  I really hope you’ll stop back on Monday and take part!

Life In General:

Life is good! The sun has been shining, the snow is gone (thank GOD), and it was even 70 degrees yesterday! I spent part of the day cleaning out the SUV and washing it. For some reason, my spring cleaning always starts with my truck. LOL The weather man says it is going to be above normal temps for the rest of the week, which seriously makes my soul smile. I’m one of those people who just can’t go without sunshine for 3 months without having it affect me.

Well, that’s my Sunday Status this week.  How was your week?  What are you reading?  C’mon, peeps! Share :)
